It has been a long few months for all of us so, what better way to celebrate the easing of lock-down than with a socially distanced outdoor summer market? The aim of the event planned for Saturday 18th July from 10am until 4pm organised by Levenmouth Together (a joint project between Fife Council and BRAG Enterprises) is (unlike their previous events; Sun, See and Sound, Leven Runfest, The Leven Food and Drink Festival and the seasonal Fayre in the Square) not to raise funds for the community chest for community groups to access grants, but rather to give us the first, tentative steps to life after lockdown. It will also help small, local traders to re-establish their businesses. The event will be held in the car park at BRAG’s Levenmouth Community Enterprise Centre (Thomson House in Lower Methil) and will include strict social distancing measures for us to comply with government guidelines. There will be a queuing system in place, but we will have live entertainment to combat the inevitable waiting time. Volunteers will be on hand to point visitors in the right direction, we cannot offer toilet facilities unfortunately, so we do ask visitors to bear that in mind when arranging their visit.
