Mission Impossible star Dougray Scott is headlining this year’s Adam Smith Festival in Kirkcaldy.

The Glenrothes-born actor will be speaking to Arabella Weir at St Bryce Kirk on the 7th of June at 7.30pm.

The actor recently led the Tartan Day parade in New York, and has appeared in many films including Ripley’s Game, Hitman and My Week with Marilyn.

Two Doors Down actor Kieran Hodgson will also bring his solo show "Big in Scotland" to Kirkcaldy the following day.

Chairperson of the Adam Smith Global Foundation, Sally Mckenzie said: “We are delighted that Kirkcaldy will host such a broad range of international talent at this year’s festival.

"The Festival is a very important event which helps support our economic and social regeneration projects and the Adam Smith Birthplace Initiative.

"Our annual Festival is growing year on year in stature and has firmly put Kirkcaldy on the international stage.”

Arabella Weir, Festival director, said: “I am thrilled to be part of the Adam Smith Festival of Ideas, bringing the great and the good, the interesting and the funny to Fife.”

The festival aims to raise money for the Adam Smith Global Foundation.
