Cider Making Workshop

This introductory course is for people with an interest in making real cider at home and those looking for a creative way to use their apples.

Experienced cider maker Geoff Robotham will guide you through the traditional process of making cider. He’ll share his expertise and techniques with you and there will be apple washing, scratting and pressing.

We will provide the equipment and a demijohn to take away your home made cider to ferment and enjoy at home.

We will have apples from our own orchard but please bring along your own apples, home grown or shop bought are fine. You need around 2 carrier bags to make a demijohn of cider.

This workshop is mostly hands on, outdoors and there will be opportunities to use all the equipment while we create our cider.

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and be prepared to be outside in all weathers! No experience necessary and a handout will be provided.

There is disabled parking on site and The Lang Spoon Community Kitchen is wheelchair and mobility friendly.
