Police find £150k worth of drugs in Kirkcaldy

Police have recovered cannabis worth an estimated £150,000 in Kirkcaldy.

Officers made a routine stop at around 12.30pm on Tuesday while on patrol on Strathkinnes Road.

The drugs were found inside the black Vauxhall Insignia.

Inquiries are ongoing to identify the occupants of the vehicle, who fled the scene.

Both men are described as being in their mid 20s to mid 30s and of eastern European descent. One is described as wearing all black and the other was wearing a grey top with a high visibility vest over the top.

Detective Inspector Scott Davidson, of Kirkcaldy police station, said: “This was a significant recovery and our inquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 1439 of May 26, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
