Fife school meals included in Eat Out to Help Out scheme

Fife Council has confirmed that school pupils will be able to benefit from discounts on lunches during August.

The local authority says that the UK Government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme will apply to meals bought at all schools, along with the Lochside Cafe at Lochore Meadows and the Glen Pavilion Cafe in Dunfermline, every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday until August 31.

It means a 50% discount on food and non-alcoholic drinks, up to a maximum discount of £10 per diner.

The move has been designed by the chancellor to help boost the hospitality industry after lockdown.

Anyone using the scheme does not need a voucher, as the discount has automatically been applied, and it can be used at the same time as other offers and discounts.

You can find more details on the Fife Council website.
