Facebook Prize - RRP £49 Passenger Experience (6 laps, 2 cars)

 

Safety and information briefing, Then, choose a helmet and we'll get you strapped into one of our specially-prepared cars ready for your high-speed experience! Our first driver will take you for three adrenalin-filled laps of our track - powering into corners completely sideways and exiting in a haze of screaming engine and screeching tyres. Experience the track's undulations, exhilarating race along the walled straight, sideways initiation into the following corner, and be breath-taken as the driver brakes heavily into our technical chicane section.

You’ll be buckled into the second drift-prepared car. With a better idea of the circuit, this gives you time to understand how the driver controls the car as it glides round the grippy tarmac circuit. Passengers also get to enjoy the experience of two different cars, with two different drivers.

Passengers will return from the cars to be greeted by their friends and family who can watch and take photographs from our viewing terrace. If anyone wants to go again, or wants to get their friends to get out in the car just let us know and we can have them join in the fun! Passengers and their party (of up to 4) are welcome to spend the rest of the day on-site to enjoy our facilities including track cafe, and can have free admission to stay and watch the day's drifting action from our public drift customers. A great event for anyone aged 12 and over!

 

On Air Prize - RRP £169 Starter (Bronze) Drift Experience

 

A great experience for those who have no knowledge or experience of. Using the specially-prepared BMW 3 Series cars, we give you the chance to get out on track and master the physics behind drifting. On your arrival to the venue we’ll get you signed on, and into our briefing area. One of our instructors will take you through the day and explain the venue, the cars and the techniques we’re going to get you demonstrating. You’ll get a technical explanation of what we’re looking for and will show you to what to pay attention to in our live demonstrations. They believe the best way to learn is with you behind the wheel, and we know you’ll be keen to get started!

 

Lesson 1: Handbrake Turns: Down in our smooth tarmac playpen areas, you’ll learn to get a feel of the car. Everyone’s probably attempted a handbrake turn in a darkly lit car park at some point – but we’re going to show you how it’s done properly using our Hydraulic Handbrake setup.

 

Lesson 2: Donuts: Revs up, drop the clutch and let those tyres screech! We demonstrate this for you, drifting the car in a perfect circle and then you’re back in the hot seat for three attempts at this technique. Now used to the car, we find pupils get their confidence up and have a great time trying to perfect that circle round the cone.

 

Lesson 3: Figure of 8: If pupils got the hang of the donut, we’ll get them straight into learning the art of the transition. Learning how to shift the weight left to right across the car, pupils will start steering from the rear, using the power of the big BMW engines to steer the car round the course. If anyone’s feeling less confident or wants to spend more time mastering the Donut – our instructors are more than happy to work with you and set a goal for the day that suits you!

 

Lesson 4: Game of Drift!: Full of knowledge, skill and confidence. Our pupils will set out onto the course and will have their instructor demonstrate a full corner from the track, showing them how to initiate the drift with the handbrake, and use “clipping” cones to fine tune their lines and accuracy around the corner. Pupils will then jump in and have five attempts to master this, as our course official judges them.

 

High Speed Passenger laps: We bring a selection of high specification cars with uprated power, body modifications and uprated steering kits to each event and get you buckled into our passenger seats for three adrenalin-filled laps of our custom-designed track. Some of our high-speed passenger laps include BMW M3, BMW M5, Nissan Skyline, Nissan 200SX/Silvia, Toyota Chaser and Toyota Supra. Pupils will have a chance to see the same techniques they’ve learnt put into action on track, feel the G-force, and get a chance to realise they’ve now got the basic knowledge to help them take their drifting story to the next stage… 

 

Debrief: Full of adrenalin - we'll try to bring you back to earth and get everyone in for our informal prize giving, where the winner of Game of Drift will be announced! You will have time to find out more about the venue and our events, and grab a quick chat with the staff to find out how you got on during the day and how we can help you for your next visit!
