People power seems to have won in this stand-off over the proposed wind farm

A revolutionary wind turbine development in Drumcarrow hill near Strathkinness, with turbines made by American company Ogin International, that uses a much smaller rotor contained in a cowling system (pictured right)

The design failed to sway residents who submitted over sixty objections. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) also lodged a formal opposition, raising "potential flight safety implications" for the air traffic control at Leuchars.
