Wands Returns To Flyers

Fife Flyers confirm they'll welcome back the 2014/15 British Player of the Year Chris Wands.

This will be Wands 11th season at Fife Ice Arena, having joined the club back in 2005/06.

Kirkcaldy born Wands was not only named British Player of the Year 2014/15 but he also won Most Improved Player of the Year and Goal of the Year, proving to be a real favourite among the fans.

The 27 year old defenceman said: “I'm delighted to be back for another season in Fife.” 

“It's a great organisation to be a part of and I'm looking forward to getting on the ice with the team and getting the season underway.”

Head coach Todd Dutiaume added "It's great to get Wando back for another season coming off a solid finish last season.”

“Wando battled his way back into the line-up and has continued to make strides this off season. We will be counting on him to be steady and dependable back there and when he does this, he is at his best.”
