Victory For Stevie On The Voice

Support for Stevie has been widespread

Kirkcaldy fireman Stevie McCrorie has won BBC's The Voice.

The 29-year-old bookie's favourite, who was mentored by Kaiser Chiefs singer Ricky Wilson on the show, beat off competition from Lucy O'Byrne in the grand final last night.

The singer from Alva, Clackmannanshire, wins a recording contract with Universal Music. His debut single, which was made available at midnight, is a cover of Lost Stars by Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine.

He has reportedly been asked to sing at this year's T in the Park festival.

McCrorie said his ultimate dream is to have a career in music, release albums, and be a "successful and sustainable artist".
