One of Scotland's leading union bosses is to come out in favour of Scottish independence.
Stephen Smellie, Deputy Convener of Scottish Unison, will tell delegates at the union's UK conference in Brighton his decision later.
His endorsement comes as Yes Scotland publishes a new poll claiming the majority of Scots would trust Holyrood over Westminster for financial decisions.
Mr Smellie says his decision is not the view of the union:
