Two Charged After Cupar Drugs Bust

£12,500 worth of drugs were recovered

A 39 year old woman and a 17 year old man have been charged with growing cannabis in Cupar.

Plants with a street value of £12,500 were found by police in a house on Kinloss Crescent.

It's part of an ongoing scheme to tackle drug crime in North East Fife.

Sergeant Gary Combe from Cupar Police Station said: "This is another example of Police Scotland’s commitment to tackling drug crime.

"Thanks to information from the local community, substantial quantities of cannabis have been seized before it could make its way onto the streets of our local communities."

The accused have been reported to the procurator fiscal.
