Tribute To M9 Crash Victim

Tributes have been paid to Lamara Bell ahead of her funeral which will take place in Falkirk later today.

Andrew and Diane Bell, parents of Lamara, described the 25-year-old as "our sapphire in the waterfall of life".

In a statement released on the morning of her funeral they also described the close bond she had with both of her children Alysha, 9 and Kieran, 5.

"Alysha and her mother were bound by an unbreakable link that only a parent can understand, they shared a love of horses and music; when both of them were on an exuberant day the noise levels could break sound barriers when they sang".

An investigation is continuing into why officers didn't respond to the original call about the accident for 3 days, in which Lamara and her partner John Yuill were killed.
