A man is to stand trial accused of pointing a shotgun at someone during an incident at a farm on December 17 last year.
Ian Dickson faces a charge of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner at a farm near Cupar.
It is alleged that he "caused fear and alarm" by pointing a shotgun in the direction of others, in particular Lawrie Thomson.
Dickson, 56, of Kennoway, did not appear at Dundee Sheriff Court to face the charge against him.
His lawyers entered a not guilty plea on his behalf by letter.
Sheriff George Way set a trial date in December and ordered Dickson to attend a pre-trial hearing in November.
