Top Accolade For Fife Restaurant

The Peat Inn in Cupar made the Sunday Times top 100 list

A Fife restaurant is one of only 8 in Scotland to make it into a prestigious list of the best eats in the country.

The Peat Inn in Cupar has been included in the Sunday Times top 10 restaurants list, joining big names like Martin Wishart in Edinburgh and Andrew Fairlie at the Gleneagles hotel.

The list is compiled from 63,000 customer reviews by nearly 7,000 diners.

Geoffrey Smeddle is the owner and chef at the Peat Inn, he was shocked but thrilled to be included:

Edinburgh boasts half of Scotland’s entries in the list. Two are in the Highlands - The Three Chimneys in Dunvegan and Applecross Inn in Applecross. The Peat Inn and Andrew Fairlie at the Gleneagles Hotel complete the list.

The full top 100, including rankings and an overall score will be revealed in The Sunday Times Top 100 Restaurants on Sunday November 8.
