Three people taken to hospital after M90 crash in Fife

Three people were taken to hospital as a precaution following a crash on the M90 in Fife last night.

Police were alerted to the incident at around 11.15pm.

It happened on the southbound motorway between junctions two and three, involving three vehicles.

Two men and a woman were taken by ambulance to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, but officers say that there are no details about their injuries at this stage.

Police Scotland also say that a 34-year-old man was arrested for alleged road traffic offences, with inquiries ongoing.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Around 11.15 pm on Wednesday, 6 April, 2022, police were called to a three vehicle road crash southbound on the M90, between J2 and J3, south-west Fife.

"The occupants of one of the cars, two men and a woman, were taken by ambulance to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy as a precaution.

"No details on injury, if any.

"A 34-year-old man has been arrested for alleged road traffic offences and enquiries are continuing."
