Theft Warning For Fife Van Drivers

Police are urging van drivers in West Fife to remove tools overnight

Van drivers in West Fife are being asked not to leave tools in their vehicles overnight, after a string of thefts.

Police say it's mostly Ford vans being targeted, and urge owners to contact the manufacturer for extra security advice. They're also advising drivers to take valuable items inside overnight, and to make access to their rear and side doors as difficult as possible. Officers are unsure how criminals are accessing the vehicles. Vans are being targetted in driveways as well as on-street.

Inspector Tom Barrett from Dalgety Bay Police Station has this advice:

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101.
