Council Budget

Fife Council's opposition is claiming the local authority's performing a u-turn on budget cuts.

The local SNP says there's a 5 million pounds "black hole" in proposals. It's after the local authority said at a recent (Scrutiny Committee) meeting that it will reduce cuts from 7 million instead of 2 million. The council must reduce its spending by 100 million within four years - education makes up around half of its annual spending.
