A teenager has appeared in court in connection with the sexual assault of a 26-year-old woman in Kirkcaldy.
The woman was allegedly attacked in Turriff Place on Sunday September 13.
Leo Stewart, 19, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Thursday charged with sexual assault.
He made no plea or declaration and remanded in custody. He is due to appear again on October 1.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "Police in Fife have arrested and charged a 19-year-old man in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a 26-year-old woman on Turriff Place on Sunday, September 13.
"He appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Thursday.
"Officers would like to thank the public for their assistance with the investigation."
