Tayplan 'Could Bring Thousands More Homes To Fife'

The plan affects residents living in North East Fife

North East Fife residents are being asked for their opinions on development plans that could bring thousands more houses to the area.

Infrastructure including roads, schools and parks are considered in the Tayplan proposals, which also affect Perth and Kinross, Angus and Dundee. Public meetings are being held throughout the area, and people are being encouraged to turn up and voice their thoughts.

The proposals set out a 20 year framework for growth, development and opportunities for the area. The Period for Representations will give the opportunity for anyone interested to say whether they agree or disagree with any part of the Proposed Strategic Development Plan, and to let TAYplan know where changes should be made.

Cllr Lesley Laird, current convenor of TAYplan said:

"The decisions we make today will leave a legacy for future generations. I would encourage anyone interested in the future of the region to look at the plan, and consider whether they wish to make a response."
