Negotiations are underway to secure the future of a famous theatre in the north east.
The Byre was forced to close last year after falling into financial difficulties.
However, Councillors have given their backing to St Andrews University taking over the lease for student and community use.
It's hoped a decision on the length of the lease available will be made in the next three to six weeks.
