Tackling legal highs in Scotland

Minister announces summit to crackdown on legal high problem.

The community safety minister has announced a summit to tackle the problem of so-called legal highs.

Roseanna Cunningham says it will crack down on the sale and supply of new psychoactive substances in Scotland.

It comes as MSPs debated the issue for the first time.

Any law to ban the substances would have to come from Westminster.

Ms Cunningham says there's no bespoke legislation for Scotland.
