Suspects arrested in 'cybersex' scam

Daniel Perry

Police investigating an online blackmail syndicate in the Philipines - linked to the suicide of a Fife teenager - say they've arrested dozens of suspects.

They are said to have lured people in foreign countries into webcam chats then blackmailed them with the recorded footage. Seventeen-year-old Daniel Perry, from Dunfermline, is thought to have fallen victim to the scam. He took his own life last July. Police in the Philipines say they've arrested 58 people.
