SNP Deputy Leadership

Angela Constance has officially launched her bid to become the deputy leader of the SNP.

The Youth Employment Minister says her focus is on re-building the case for independence.

She says the SNP has been re-invigorated with tens of thousands of new members who have joined the party to campaign for independence.

Ms Constance will compete against Transport Minister Keith Brown and the Treasury spokesman Stewart Hosie.

Nicola Sturgeon is the only person to stand to be the party's leader so far.

Alex Salmond will officially step down as leader and First Minister in November.
