Skin Cancer 'Up Four Times in 40 Years'

Four times as many people are now being diagnosed with the most dangerous form of skin cancer.

Cheaper holidays and sun beds have contributed to skin cancer rates going up since the mid 1970s.

That's according to Cancer Research UK, which says the rate in Scotland has quadrupled in the last 40 years.

18 in every 100,000 of us are now expected to be diagnosed, that's around 1,200 a year.
