Sheku Bayoh: Officers Interviewed

The police officers who were with Sheku Bayoh when he was arrested have been interviewed five weeks after his death.

The Police Investigations and Review Commissioner has confirmed that statements have been made.

A spokesman says the information will now be considered.

Mr Bayoh, who was 31 years old and a father of two, died following his arrest in Kirkcaldy last month but the circumstances around his death remain unclear.

A PIRC spokesman said: "The PIRC has now secured statements from all the arresting officers and this information will be considered along with that already gathered throughout the course of the investigation to date."
