Shed Security Warning For NE Fife

Auchtermuchty and Falkland residents are being advised to check their garden security following a number of break-ins over the last fortnight.

Thieves are targeting sheds and businesses in Back Dykes Terrace, South Street West and High Street, Cupar Road and Distillery Street. Power tools have been stolen, and on one occasion an archery set.

Detective Constable Andy Robertson said: "We are currently investigating to establish if these incidents are linked and I would ask anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity around these areas over the past two weeks contacts police immediately. 

"I would also ask that home and business owners continue to ensure they have appropriate security measures in place at their properties."

These offences are being investigated as part of Operation RAC and anyone who can assist officers with their inquiry is asked to come forward.
