Service Held For Turnbull Hutton

Fans also paid their respects outside the club's stadium

Raith Rovers have said goodbye to former Chairman Turnbull Hutton.

The former whisky company boss died last week aged 68, after a short illness.

Scores of people attended Kirkcaldy crematorium earlier to pay their respects to one of the men credited with saving the club after their financial troubles and relegation to the old Division Two a decade ago.

Mr Hutton gained national attention when he voiced opposition to the idea of letting Rangers drop into the second tier of Scottish football after the business running the Glasgow club was liquidated.

At the time he said Scottish football was "a dead parrot", 25 of 30 Scottish Football League members eventually voted to demote Rangers to the bottom tier to maintain "sporting integrity".
