Searches in Fife for Missing Girl

Police looking for a missing East Lothian girl believe she may be in Fife.

Billie Gannon,14, from Tranent, was last seen at around 3pm on Saturday near Waverley train station in Edinburgh.

She has not been seen or heard from since, Police say concern for her welfare is now growing.

Police Scotland think she may have travelled to the Kingdom - officers are conducting searches in Methil, Buckhaven and Dunfermline.

Billie is described as white, 5ft 4in, of slim build, and with brown hair with extensions down to her chest. She was last seen wearing denim jeans, a black vest top, a grey All Stars hooded top and bright pink Puma suede trainers, and was carrying a grey handbag.

A police spokesman said: "There is concern for Billie, and members of the public are asked to get in touch if they can assist officers with their investigation to trace her. Anyone with any relevant information should contact Police Scotland on 101 immediately."
