Scottish lecturers are paid 45% less than their Canadian counterparts.
The figures come ahead of further strike action by academics tomorrow.
Lecturers here can expect to earn around £34, 000 a year, compared to more than £46, 000 in the US.
The University and College Union says it's simply unacceptable.
