Scottish Law Firm Raises Concerns Regarding C. Difficile

"Extremely worrying." That's the concern from a leading Scottish Law firm after another patient at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh has been announced as contracting C. difficile.

A leading law firm says the latest case of C. difficile is "extremely worrying."

Another patient at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh has been announced as contracting the infection- bringing the total number of cases to 15 since November.

Three people have died at the infirmary after testing positive for the infection however they were described as having "underlying conditions".

A ward at the hospital has been closed by NHS Lothian to admissions and transfers "as a precautionary measure".

C-diff is a bacterial infection that can affect the digestive system and can be life threatening.

Patrick McGuire from Law firm Thorntons is calling on the Scottish Government to do more.
