Scottish Landmarks Go Green

Edinburgh Castle is one of 100 sites across the world to mark St Patrick's Day.

Some of Scotland's most famous landmarks are going green to celebrate St Patrick's day.

Edinburgh Castle, the city's airport and the Armadillo in Glasgow are being lit up with the colour tonight.

100 famous places around the world are doing it, including the Colosseum in Rome and Niagra Falls.

It's the first time the Castle and Edinburgh Airport have been involved in the annual event.

Irish star Liam Neeson is also joining in the fun and wishing the world a Happy St. Patrick's Day for a new Tourism Ireland campaign. Liam's voice will be heard as part of a 60 second film that includes stunning footage of the island of Ireland, interwoven with iconic images of Tourism Ireland's annual Global Greenings.
