Scottish Labour Nominations

The nomination process to find a Scottish Labour leader and deputy will close today.

The posts became vacant following the resignation of Johann Lamont last month. He deputy, Anas Sarwar subsequently stood down.

It's been confirmed that Jim Murphy and MSPs Neil Findlay and Sarah Boyack are to stand to take over as party leader.

MP Katy Clark, who represents North Ayrshire and Arran, and Lothian's MSP, Kezia Dugdale are running for deputy. Nominations for the position closed yesterday.

The nomination process for leader will close at 2 o'clock this afternoon, while voting will begin on November 17th.

The new leader and deputy should be elected on December 13th.
