Scots Record Best Games Performance

Team Scotland have achieved their best ever performance at any Commonwealth Games.

Alex Marshall and Paul Foster's gold in the lawn bowls final set a new national record for gold medals, beating the total of 12 at Melbourne in 2006.

Libby Clegg's gold in the T12 100 metres at Hampden last night then matched the team's best overall haul of 33.

That was after Jen McIntosh secured bronze in the 50 metres rifle prone, the previous best was acheved at the last Games on home soil - in Edinburgh in 1986.
