Scots Farmers Back Minimum Price Rise

Scottish farmers are giving their backing to improving the minimum price paid for dairy in Europe.

Westminster's Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee says the European intervention reference price, which keeps how much producers get at sustainable levels, should be reassessed.

NFU Scotland says it supports that, as it’s currently set too low to have any positive effect.

Scottish Conservative MEP, Ian Duncan, is writing to farming minister George Eustice about the issue.
