Scotland's elderly 'being let down'

As Scotland's population gets older, it's claimed the over 65s are being let down.

Figures obtained by the Scottish Liberal Democrats show that the number of older people being admitted to A and E departments has reached more than 232,000 - that's the highest figure in over 10 years. Despite that, the number of available geriatric beds is falling. LibDem MSP and health spokesman Jim Hume wants Ministers to do more to tackle the problem.
