Retail expert warns that Fife high streets that are struggling could face worse future amid coronavirus pandemic

Some of Fife's high streets that are struggling face a potentially more difficult future amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, according to a retail expert.

New guidance has been issued from today by the Scottish Government for businesses to help reduce the risk of Covid-19 transmission.

It comes while there are concerns about the Omicron variant of the virus.

The government has issued the guidance for the retail sector, as well as for cultural venues, hospitality and for other workers who work in other people's homes.
