Report of Concern at Glenrothes Golf Club

Police have appealed for information after a report of concern was made for a woman in Glenrothes on Monday.

Officers are concerned for the welfare of a man and a woman who were involved in an altercation at the entrance to Glenrothes Golf Club shortly before 6pm.

They both left in a silver car, possibly an estate, that was last seen driving north before turning right onto South Parks Road towards Glenwood shopping Centre.

The man is described as around 6ft and wearing a jacket with a furry hood.

The woman is described as around 5ft 6-7inches tall, with a black ponytail, and wearing dark clothing.

Detective Inspector Stuart Morris of Glenrothes CID said: "We're conducting various inquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident to make sure that all parties are safe.

"I would ask anyone who may have seen the vehicle, or who recognises the description of this or the occupants, to come forward. In particular, we are looking to speak to the driver of a dark-coloured Land Rover who was passing at this time."

Anyone with information can call Police Scotland on 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
