An RAF serviceman has avoided jail after having under age girls strip off for him on online chat services from his room at Leuchars airbase.

Chesney Wallbank, who's 23, had a series of young girls pose via webcams after approaching them through Skype, Yahoo Chat, and Windows Live Messenger.

He was caught by RAF officers after falsifying documents to try and let him to be involved in the "physical training" of Air Cadets aged 13 and over.

His laptop was seized, with 10 indecent images found on it, as well as archived conversation logs in a temporary, with records show him asking for 'pics' and asking for 'pics' of young girls 12-13.

Comments in the chat logs show girls spurning his advances.

At Dundee Sheriff Court, Sheriff Alistair Brown has been ordered to do 150 hours unpaid work, and will spend a year on the sex offender's register and under supervision.

Wallbank, whose wife is 10 weeks pregnant, is due to be transferred to RAF Coningsby in England later this year if he is still a serving member of the RAF.
