Radioactive Beach

Dalgety Bay residents are piling pressure on the MoD to confirm a schedule to clean up the foreshore.

The Ministry of Defence has outlined a £10 million pound plan to remove thousands of radioactive particles from the beach.

Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath MP Gordon Brown and local residents have voiced concerns that the project could be delayed for at least a year.

The UK Defence Minister, Anna Soubry, has given a new assurance of a 'no delay timetable.'

The Community Council will meet on October 13th to discuss the next step.

Members of the Ministry of Defence have been invited.
