Police want the driver of a 'dark coloured saloon' to come forward after a 14-year-old boy had to be taken to hospital following an incident in Methil.
The teenager suffered a serious foot injury after the car, believed to be similiar in size to a Vauxhall Astra or Ford Focus, hit him on Sunday night.
He had to receive treatment at Kirkcaldy's Victoria Hospital after the incident.
It happened on Kirkland Walk at around 8:15pm, near the crescent shaped parking area.
Officers are also asking witnesses to come forward to assist with their enquiries.
Inspector Paul Gillespie from Levenmouth Police Station said: "We're appealing to anyone who has any information about this incident to contact us and equally, we're appealing to the driver to contact us."
