Police in Fife are still looking for 'a number of youths' after a mass brawl outside a takeaway in Methil.

Two men, aged 17 and 35, have been charged in connection with the incident at Caspian Fast Food on Wellesley Road

Owner Mohammed Khalid was treated in hospital for an eye injury.

His daughter Shama said: "My parents have lived and worked in Methil and Buckhaven for over 25 years and have never dealt with anything like this. Mum was saying that we have been here long before these boys were even born. Dad is a well known member of the community, and is very much respected.

"They are still recovering from the shock of the incident, it's difficult to see them upset that this happened in a place they spent most their lives. We have had numerous messages of support from family friends and our community sending their prayers and well wishes, we are thankful to them all."

Officers are denying reports it was a revenge attack following the events in Paris.

Anyone with any information is urged to call 101.
