Police seeking information about alleged sexual offence in Lochgelly

Police are appealing for information after an alleged sexual offence in Lochgelly on Tuesday evening.

The incident happened at 7:15pm in the town's High Street when two 17-year-old girls were approached by a man driving a white saloon car.

He asked the teenagers for directions while touching himself in a sexual manner before he drove off in the direction of Hall Street.

The girls weren't hurt during the incident, but were left shaken.

Officers are keen to find the man at the earliest possible opportunity.

The suspect is described as a white in his late 20s, is of skinny build with ginger stubble.

He was wearing a grey t-shirt, black jogger bottoms with a black baseball cap and glasses.

Detective Constable Ross Gribbons from Police Scotland said: "This was a very distressing incident for the girls involved and although they were not physically harmed they were left shaken.

"We are eager to trace the man responsible as soon as possible and I would appeal to anyone who may recognise the description of the suspect or who may have seen a white car in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch."
