Police release images of clothing in bid to ID man found in Forth

Police have released images of clothing which belonged to a man whose body was recovered from the Firth of Forth near Burntisland on Friday.

Officers think he could be the same man who was spotted behaving in a concerning way on the Forth Road Bridge on March 8.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

He is described as white, between 18 and 30 years old, between 5ft 7in and 5ft 9in tall and of a slim build, with short blond or brown hair.

When he was found, he was wearing grey Lonsdale jogging bottoms, a grey Saltrock jumper and blue Adidas trainers.

Police believe a blue and white jacket which was found on the Forth Road Bridge may also belong to him.

Detective Sergeant Conrad Musgrave, from Dunfermline CID, said: "Extensive inquiries have been conducted and we are appealing to members of the public for information to help trace the identity of the man involved.

"If you noticed anyone matching this description, either on the day of the incident or in the early hours of Tuesday March 9, please get in contact with officers.

"Police can be contacted by calling 101 and quoting incident number 0898 of Friday March 29 2021."
