Police appeal after man dies at Burntisland railway station

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died at Burntisland railway station.

Officers were called to the station at 6.45pm yesterday following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Paramedics also attended, however the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the procurator fiscal.

British Transport Police is urging anyone who was at the station around that time, or with any information to get in touch by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 297 of 24/01/21.
