Petition Against School Timetable Ideas Submitted

A petition against cutting the school week by 10% has been submitted to officials.

Fife Council's seeking views on suggestions reduce education spending by the end of the month.

The local authority insists nothing will be implemented before August 2016, and that formal proposals are yet to be decided.

Dehra Sweet launched the campaign, she's telling Kingdom FM News what's in the document:

Shelagh McLean, Directorate Resources Manager at Fife Council said:

“We’ve had some really good feedback from parents and appreciate people’s anxiety around some of the ideas we shared. It was absolutely our purpose to have these discussions, so we could hear people’s thoughts, concerns and additional ideas.

"This petition will contribute to this feedback. The engagement window continues until the end of January."
