A man is in a critical condition in hospital after he was struck by a car in Glenrothes last night.
A silver Vauxhall Vectra hit the 25-year-old while he was crossing Formonthills Road in the town at around 8:25pm.
The seriously injured man was taken to Dundee's Ninewells Hospital by ambulance.
The 42-year-old male driver of the vehicle wasn't hurt.
Police say enquiries into the crash are continuing.
