Pet wellbeing specialist VioVet surveyed a thousand people, and found a staggering 62 percent thought it was safe to leave a dog for an hour.

And 38 percent would leave their dogs for 90 minutes or more, without being concerned.

John Cousins from VioVet says the best thing to do is obvious - don't leave dogs in cars.
