No suspicious circumstances on buzzard death in Fife

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a buzzard in a Fife woodland.

The dead bird was found in woodland near Ladybank in April.

Officers say it wasn't the case that the bird had been shot.

A statement on Fife Police's Twitter page reads: "Following the death of a buzzard in woodland near Ladybank in April, enquiries indicate there were no suspicious circumstances.

"Initial examination suggested the bird had been shot.

"Police have since established this was not the case.

"Thanks to the public for their assistance."
