New Text Service For Fife Housing Group

Fife Housing Group is launching a new text messaging service to help keep its tenants even better informed.

Fife Housing Group (FHG) is launching a new text messaging service to help keep its tenants even better informed.

The new service will allow FHG to send information to a tenant’s mobile phone, including details of their rent balance or when a repair is due to be carried out.

It can also be used to give more local messages when there is an event or emergency in a specific area.

Tenants will now also be able to give feedback by text, for example on services they have received from FHG.

Tenants whose mobile phone numbers we already hold will shortly receive a welcome text. This will ask them to confirm that their details are correct and that they wish to get further information by text.

Chief Executive Nicki Donaldson said: “The new text messaging service is an important investment for Fife Housing Group.

"Keeping our tenants and customers better informed, and making it easier for them to provide feedback on our services, is one of our main priorities for 2015 and beyond.

"This will allow us to quickly and easily send this information out by a medium which we know many of our tenants prefer.

"We currently have mobile numbers for around three quarters of tenants. I urge anyone with a mobile phone who would like to receive messages by text to get in touch with us, so that we can add them to our database."

If you want to receive texts, ring them with your number on 01383 606162 or text them on 0771 771 3666.
