Mother and partner charged with son's murder

A mother and her partner have appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court charged with murdering her two-year-old son.

The body of Liam Fee was found dead in a property at Donald Crescent in Thornton on the 22nd of March.

At the time police said his death was being treated as unexmplained.

Liam's mother Rachel Fee, who's 30 and her 27-year-old partner Nyomi Fee appeared in court charged with his murder.

They also face charges of cruelty to children.

The women made no plea and the case was continued.

Both were remanded in custody.
